I run a property investment company in Scotland, 'Urban Pulse' , dealing in this area and the North East. I have never introduced property to my clients which I would not personally invest in. I have a content, tight group of seasoned investors and have not had a complaint of 'after service' yet. I have been known to put their IKEAfurniture together on many an occasion.

Were not all bad. Do your own homework is what I always tell clients!!

When you say investors, do they all live in the area, do they look at the properties, do you manage rental properties?

The reason I am asking is because I am coming into a bit of money soon nd want to get into property.

Frank !!

Too much information - they'll be round you like vultures !!

I agree with James though - there are a lot of very good companies out there, let down by the others everyone hears about.

James - tell us your website address !!

Frank - have a look at http://www.thethinktankgroup.co.uk - we may be able to help too,

cheers all

Investors mainly Irish and most do not look at properties. We have facilities whereby our alliances (letting agents etc) will manage properties at reduced rates, with no commission at all coming our way through them.

I agree , But i have never , and dont think i ever will buy with out seeing the property myself, its not all about the property its about the location of it ,the area around it.transport links etc ,you can only find this out yourself, view the property before you buy, and you wont buy a donkey.

I couldn't agree more with david regarding viewing properties but that is probably why I only buy in areas that I know. I just haven't got the time to travel to really get to understand the dynamics of other areas.

That said I am not against the idea of using sourcing companies it is just not for me I suppose.

Like this thread. Sourcing companies is a very topical area of debate. I agree that sourcing companies are 'not all bad' but some really are.

Perhaps we should start a register of bad sourcers?

I got this idea from another thread talking about a register of problem tenants.

What do you lot think?
