I am not qualified to give you advice on loans / mortgage finance.... However I would suggest that you build a positive credit history using your credit cards. I did this very early in my investment history and it has paid dividends.

I would suggest spending as little cash as you possibly can and getting anything and everything on a credit card.... If you find it difficult to get a credit card, try out Vanquis Abacus Visa card Provident Financial. This is a SERIOUSLY EXPENSIVE CARD (!!!!!!). HOWEVER it will give you a start in your credit rating.... as will the Capital One Classic Visa card. These cards are aimed at people with poor credit risks, such as those with county court judgments (CCJs) against them, the retired, or others on low incomes, and can thus be use to rebuild their credit history. Spend on these cards as you would with your cash, then PAY THE WHOLE BALANCE OFF TOTALLY when the statement comes. Very soon your credit history will be bankable. DO NOT DEFAULT WITH THESE CARDS: THE I.R IS A KILLER!

Frank, You are very welcome! Just to let you know I have become a credit card tart! Yes, I have sold my soul to the plastic sharks...no not really.... I took max cash form the cards, transfered the debt to long-term 0% and thus used their money (for nothing, except relatively small transfer charges...!) to buy more property.... Take a look at www.moneysavingexpert.com for full details on being a tart!

Regards, Malik

Here goes how to obtain a high credit score. Say that you are married (does not matter if your not as they cant find out if you are or not) 2 kids (again they cant varify this) employed 3 years plus management(most want even check this out) earnings over 26k (most want ask for proof) Bank account say current and had it for 10 years and when they ask if you have credit card say yes tell them u have 1 (again they cant verify this as not very company puts this information on your file).

All the above will score you high points - never lie to obtain amortgage though as mortgage lenders make checks whereas credit card companys dont, they hand there cards out like sweets.

Hi guys,

Its been a while since I last posted on here, but I had to join in with this thread, even though it was a while ago.

Since I came home from Germany and started a new job and changed addresses, I have been having problems with obtaining credit also and have to say that credit card companies I have tried have actually not been handing them out like sweets to me.

I would like to find them as I have a debt that is charging me £100 per month in interest and I cant seem to get out of this debt without getting a 0% balance transfer to another card.

Anyone know where I can find these sweet shops??

Cheers

Simon
