Does anyone know of an 'untapped' area where I could blow around 50k?
This is the 50 million dollar question I know, but sometimes it's good to ask it, people are always thinking about it.
It's like when I go down to the track, people can't HELP but throw their 5 eggs in. Half of them have markets they want to rock, granted, but some people with information will always be willing to give you the heads up.

Hold cash?
I'm fairly bullish on house market in selected areas, but I think the utility of having some cash around to take advantage of opportunities over the next 12-24 months is very high.

'untapped'? if you find anywhere let me know. scotland (esp. dundee) is meant to be worth a look at the moment. also try auctions things are slow at the moment with the run up to christmas.

How about the Maldives? They have just made a new capital on reclaimed land.
They made it high enough so that it wont dissappear quite as fast as the rest of the islands.
There are very few buildings currently there, growth will go through the roof.
Not sure how easy it would be to get involved, but it would be fun trying!

i went there on holiday recently and went past this on the boat. it is truly and wonderous piece of engineering/architecture.
not really sure about prices etc. |
