I mean in terms of spreadsheets / software

Do you stick to Excel or use some of the software on the market (or even rely on pen and paper?!)?

I'm an Excel user. Be interested in your preferences.

I use Excel too John.

It's not pretty, and you have to build your models from the ground up, but I find the flexibility key.

There are a number of packages on the market though. It would be nice to know how anyone else finds them?

I use excel too but would love to find a really good software package. Can anyone recommend any that I should trial?

Thanks.

Thomas,

As a users of Landlord Trader you are able to buy 'Expert Landlord' software at a discounted price. The software appears extremely useful but please make up your own mind.

You had it built by someone and they charged you £99? Or it would cost us £99 for you to share it?

Same as Andrew. Excel. Not restrictive like other packages.

Anybody got any ideas on Excel, I am struggling to make anything decent for my needs.

I have a spreadsheet now but it all seems to be on one work sheet. Its huge...

I'm not that experienced though, anyone have any links to any free excel spreadsheet help websites, or expamples for use as a landlord spreadsheet.

Cheers

Simon

Ive just has a system built in access and it helps with keeping all your mortgage info and telling you your total mortgage debts and total worth as well as anual profit and costs. it also gives reminders on tenants rents, gas checks and also has an inventory and client data form. As well as all this it also has the ability to put as many tenants in the one house and keeps track of each individual rents.

Something other systems don't do ive triale a few that i want mention but they were very poor and did not meet the needs of a landlord perhaps letting agent but not landlord. As most of us have full time jobs we need to be able to use a simple system not one that leaves you very fustrated.

email me if your interested ina copy.

All the best

Alex
