Property Ladder - don't believe all you see on TV....
In my experience, this type of reality TV program is often heavily edited to make a watchable program - and the reality is often very far from the story on screen...
I have a property which is being renovated, and, being mercenary, contacted Property Ladder - basically to see if there was any incentive or gain to be made (I wouldnt say "no" to a contribution to my building costs..!!).
Although the program was interested in my property, they were only interested if I would do some of the work myself, and on the basis that I was "inexperienced" - I think thats called "being set up for a fall" ;-)
Filming schedules were also very tight - I seem to recollect just 3 months to film a complete series, so you have to be prepared to "work on Cam" when it suits Property Ladder...
Yes the program is entertaining, but think about it... when did you last see a program about smug know it alls who got it right first time, made a great profit, and found good builders etc.... As a nation we devour other peoples misfortunes with avengeance... especially on TV.
Still, if you want your 15 mins of fame, at least you know how to get it...
