General (main property discussion here) - New property investor

Hi My name is gary and i am from ireland. I want to get into property investing in the uk. i have no experience in property investing besides an extreme interest in it and i am also in the middle of buying my first house. Anyway i was wondering if anybody could give me any tips or advice on property invetsing in the uk what i need to do, potential costs (costs may be different than in ireland) etc. to get started. I would be grateful of any advice as i wish to start investing in the near future possibly in bmv properties although am interested in discount offplan companies also. Any advice appreciated Gary

Before you listen to anyone and especially any company, I'd spend several days checking them out on the internet. Google them. If they are the real deal, you should get some decent info. If they are sharks, they will also appear on forums like this.

I agree with Gerry, always throughly Google a company you might like to deal with first, as a few simple searches can unearth some truths which will save you a lot of grief and loss.
