Further to my last question, I have been advised to conduct searches on the properties that I am interested in before bidding at auction. I don't understand this given that the legal packs include local authority searches. Does anyone understand why?

Thanks again

Charles

Charles,It is all to do with money.Just remember that ALL auctioneers are thieves and liars. They will rob you in front of a room full of people. They will not want to incur any cost that they can pass onto their victims. Also as you do the searches then they have no onus if there are any problems with the property at a later date.Good luck.
