General (main property discussion here) - Help - How do we go about setting up a company?

Hi

We currently have three buy to let properties and look set to increase this to 5 or 6 in a couple of months. We are thinking about setting up a company to run these through but we are not sure where to start?

Does anyone have any advice/tips/helpful site info.

I would like to ask why you want to set up a company? Would your company own the properties or would the management of the properties be done through this company?

Hi Is it not better for tax reasons etc. Initially the Company would own the properties, but once we have a decent portfolio it would also run them. We currently live in Ireland and are also looking at buying abroad, maybe Turkey. Thanks Mark

i use this company to form my companies. they have always been cheap and efficient.

i use an ltd to own my propoerties. it has become increasingly advantageous to use this a company structure the more assets i have acquired.

however you should consult an accountant for advice on this as could be a very important decision.
