Hi all,
Am new to this forum.
Just wondered if anyone out there owns property in Stratford and has noticed an increase in house prices since the Olympic decision?
If i see anything on the market is this likely to be a ridiculously inflated price?
Any info welcome!! Thanks. |

As both a resident and multiple property owner in Stratford, I have found that house prices have remained fairly stable despite conflicting media coverage, though I am expecting (and hoping!) that the prices might increase nearer 2012...

Thank you for your input Thomas - would it be possible to get in touch directly for some more advice? I'm still getting to grips with the area/market and could do with a bit of helpful advice - my email is: sienacharliepink@yahoo.co.uk. Thanks! |

Hi!
FYI, this article may give you guys some more info.

Yes, I saw that article too.
Why are prices increasing though? Is it down to better future travel links? I'd rather live in an area with better schools / hospitals than olympic quality swimming pools on the doorstep.
The area needs regenerating, I'm just a bit worried it's more millenium dome than notting hill. |

My thoughts for what they are worth:
- Buy a 3 bed house and sit on it until the Olympics.
- Rent it out for a stupendous amount DURING the olympics.
- Sell after the Olympics, the uplift will be sufficient to take a tidy profit away.

Thank you all so much for your interesting input - I really appreciate all your help as I'm so new to the game!
I'm still looking around - it seems things are getting snapped up pretty quickly but prices appear pretty reasonable - for the timebeing!

Good plan Bob.
Glad to be of help Louise and good luck.
