Local Knowledge - Scotland - West coast & Central - info exchanged

Just new to the Property game , but been studying it for months & now "taking the plunge" !

I have a reasonable knowledge of this area & am actively increasing my contacts daily.

Some people are being "stung" by their limited knowledge of the Scottish market & buying property in so-called "hotspots" (including from a well known "finder") then finding that they cannot sell on or worse that no one wants to rent, even at low prices. Other areas are being "renamed" to hide undesireability !

I'm in the Ayrshire area and like yourself am new to this although i've been researching for a while.

Not ready to take the plunge yet, but feel that this forum is a great place to start. I'd be happy to exchange information with you and anyone else out there. The one thing i do know is that there seems to be a new development popping up in every spare plot of land in this part of the world - I feel the commuting distance has been drastically reduced from Glasgow with the improvements to the A77 and people are moving here in thier droves to avoid the inflated city and suburb prices. Your the only scottish thread that i can find in this site, seems to be english dominant!! There is still a great deal to be had in scotland and our company has been sourcing and selling to private indivuduals and investors now for ten years from studio flats to HMO properties. We specialise in Glasgow and Renfrewshire areas.
