Are these still mortgages for HMOs? Or is it more a commercial loan? (Given that there's a difference, what is it?! Are the rates higher if it's a HMO?)

No rates r not higher, not many lenders do multi lets and HMO that.

HMO means housing in multi occupation, has to be 3 storey or more (now thats what my local council tell me 3 storey or more and 5 occupants or more who are not family)

As i have 6 students in one house and just converted a 4 to a 5 so was a little stresed so i rang them last week and that is what they said)

You will need to obtain a licence from the council to run as an HMO lender will just need to see the licence.

Mortgage Trust and Birmingham Mids do HMO's
