General (main property discussion here) - Best place to advertise

Normally I advertise in the printed press, local newspapers etc. Many people are starting to use online site?

How sucessful is this form of advertising and can anyone recommend any sites?

I have heard good things about Lettingzone. Though I use letting agents personally.
