General (main property discussion here) - List - Property finders with local knowledge

Hi all,

How about getting a list together of property finders across the country who know the yields, local agents and keep an eye out for good investment properties. I have only come across one, in wales - charges £500 per property on completion and seems excellent.

Anyone know of any other similar property finders? And how high would the interest be for getting together some kind of list?

Not sure any property finder would be too pleased about contributing their name to a list of their local rivals.

Having said that, if you make it 'public' then prices would be driven down. They are generally a rip off, although if you aren't local then they're a necessary resource.

This site is basically that anyway, surely?

Not at all. A lot of the property finders have relationships with local agents who let them know as soon as a good investment property comes on the market...they're not gonna end up on landlordtrader!

like the idea gavin but not sure i'd agree with the merit of such a list.

firstly, i have used many property soucers most of whom i have not been happy with. the ones that i have i would not disclose their names as i have a vested interest in keeping them working for me and only a few others. this is so i keep the best deals.

secondly, by default (because of the above) i think those that would go on the list would be the rogues or less good sourcers.

happy for others to disagree - just my first thoughts.
