General (main property discussion here) - Interest rates flat (again)

No surprise from the MPC this week.

It's a strange time though. It doesn't feel like "everything's ticking over nicely, lets keep things steady", more like "don't dare touch anything", with everyone looking around waiting for something to happen!

I'm not talking housing market so much, but the economy as a whole is either very robust or teetering towards something, do people think?

Obviously the election creates a false atmosphere, but companies like Rover going under (although totally inevitable and unrelated to economy) do make you think.

Maybe I'm just a bit tired at the end of a long week!

i agree there have been some strange things going on in the economy rceently but i don't feel there are any real weaknesses that spell doom and gloom.

the talk of any real large movement in rates down or up seems to have gone now - will be interesting to watch how it all plays out.
