Hi

with euro interest rates much more attractive than over here i'd just like to know if any one has done this?

with a basic search on the net it seems as if you can borrow up to 75%ltv however minimumm loan is 150k sterling

this idea fascinates me,apparantly you can do this in any of the four major currencies, however if the currency in question gains against sterling you start losing out and accordingly if it weakens you start to lose. HOWEVER it would have to go a hell of a long way before your monthly payment would be the same cosidering our very high interest rates compared with euros or even more so the dollar

any thoughts?

christopher,

completely agree with the theory. with the usd/gbp where it is the us still looks attractive.

let me know what you find cos i have non idea about where to find these mortgages.

although i have heard that if you buy from developers then they will often provide you with a loan.

tom

It's much harder to withdraw equity from EU mortgage companies I am told?

Lower interest rates. Prices falling in Germany - good opportunity?

Aren't a couple of the guys on here based in Europe? Let us know what it's like?

John
