has any one have any knowledge of this town how is the rental and for selling property

I tried to buy a property here about 18 months ago .had agreed price with vendor .Mortgage agreed in principle but when mortgage co instructed surveyer they refused to go out to Pentre ! tried a second surveyer also refused to go "unaccompanied" -both these were Cardiff based. I gave up. For a cash sale the yield was very high but I needed a mortgage. Hope this helps

why because its a rough area, i don't understand if the banks are willing give mortgage why would the surveyer go and do the survery.

The banks will always require a mortgage survey (to check that the prop value is greater than their liability).

And yes, from the sounds of the post, it's not a great area!

Thanks John(I've been away so not seen Anbarasi's question)you've summised correctly -The surveyer refused to go to this village due to his perception of personal safety , I must say that I viewed the property and came out unscathed !
