There's been quite a lot of mention re tax rules, SIPPS, CGT, REITs on here recently, and we all chip in with what we "think", etc, which is great (although not official of course).
My question to anyone is, supposing I want to look up tax rules and regs "offcially" - where would I start?
All my info / understanding comes from third parties. Is there a good online source (.gov.uk?) for all this?
I ask because if I wanted to know about tenancy, section 21, etc, I'd head straight for the odpm site.
Also, tax rules change often (every budget I guess), so it would be expensive to buy the books all the time.
I'm just frustrated with having to pay someone for what is a job well within my capabilities of understanding, just a closed shop to the outsider.
