I have heard this is a good place to be investing. US interest rate environment is still helpful and there is good holiday home demand?

Any thoughts?

Can you borrow in USD out there?

Exchange rate seems favourable relative to recent past, but whether it's got further to go is anyone's guess...

Any US investors on here?

Not an investor myself, but a close friend recently had his roof blown off by hurricane "Charley", followed by another three or so hurricanes soaking the place!

Exchange rate exposure is going to be huge factor with US investments.

US interest rates on the rise, think they'll be in for a similar cool down to the UK.

Shiller,

I am in Florida right now for a couple of weeks. You want me to send you any thing let me know.

You may want to think about Cayman Islands as we have just been destroyed by a hurricane.
