General (main property discussion here) - flying freehold

Does anybody know if flying freeholds cause a problem getting a mortgage, I know of a good deal on a property (freehold) but there is a flying freehold with it, could buy the property cash to start with but what companies will mortgage it and do you pay over the odds, thanks

what is the context of the flying freehold, your property overhanging another, a freehold flat or another overhanging yours?

most people dont see it as a problem as long as you get indemnity insurance.

dig a quick search on alltheweb.com and found one or two views against, but mainly views were not against it.
