Has anyone got experience of student mortgages? My son aged 19 is a student and wishes to purchase a place to rent out, but in fact it will be his primary residence for mortgage purposes. We are willing to act as guarantors but he has no income of his own. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Most Independant Financial Advisors should be able to get a Self Certification Mortgage, especially if you are planning to give assurances on payment.

Try http://www.unbiased.co.uk

or if you already know someone, ask them.

Hi Sharaon,

I work for a firm of Independent Mortgage Advisors and could certainly discuss some of the options open to you and your Son. Please just contact me on 0203 031 7814 or you can email me at rob.s@perceptionfinance.com
