Syndicates / Property Clubs - Property Club won't return fees

I invested my money in a property club several months ago to buy a property. Unfortunately the deal fell through due to the manner in which they had structured it. They will not return all my funds - paid quite a lot of money, including valuation , finance fees etc. So far they have not returned a penny. Are any of these companies regulated by any Body? or can they charge what they like whether they do or do not see the deal through? What action can one take?

Clive Depends on the contract you signed with them. BTL is not regulated, however, it could be that they are also residential brokers, if so they will be FSA regulated. You could approach the FSA and tell them that these are the sort of people they have registered with them FSA may have a word. I would start by speaking to your lawyer and show them your contract. I have a fantastic firm of lawyers who look after my portfolio that could advise you on this.
