Does anyone know of any areas where cellars are common?

I think there may be a huge untapped market for development here. I personally know of nobody who has converted the cellar for capital gain.

There is a company in London that specialise in cellar conversions. Maybe I should ask them, although I want properties outside of London.

Seems to me that cellars are fairly rare? Here we go, train of thought... how easy would it be to create a cellar? Is it even possible? Extending downwards.. now there's a thing I would be interested in.

Perhaps there are planning issues? It's not as if it would be an eyesore though!!

From what I have seen it can be expensive, also I do not think all properties can have a cellar conversion.
