Hi All (starting to love this place!)

Heres an interesting topic,

What are you currently worth?

And,

Are you happy with your worth?

Thanks

Matt

You can't ask that question on a public board, almost anyone who answers will look like they're boasting.

I'll try to answer the best I can - worth somewhere in the region of 0.5mill - 2mill net after sale of all assets and tax paid.

I won't be happy with this in the future but happy with this now considering starting capital and time in the industry.

Hi

I thought, well, as some of the guys here say how much there portfolio is worth etc, i thought i could ask the question this once, just interesting to know, and it would inspire me.

Its good that people are successful and they are happy.

Thanks

Matt

Matthew: "Its good that people are successful and they are happy."

A very american atitude to success, Matthew!

Not everyone looks at it in the same manner (particularly in the UK I think you'll find).

You have to do the best you can with the cards you're dealt. Luck, timing, hard work and friends will no doubt play a part, and absolute wealth is possibly a poor method of keeping score. But let's not get too philisophical!

4 years ago i started with £1,500 i brought my first house 3 years ago for myself and partner to live in, 2 years ago i purchased my 1st buy to let i now have a portfollio worth over 1.5million earning me around 32k per year with a total mortgage debt of around 400K. im 34 and reccon another 3 years should see me sorted. My inspiration has been my 4 year old little girl.

Life will only give you what you put in, never give up and just keep looking at every oppurtunity that comes.

Your worth what your property is worth ( taking away payments etc and other out goings ) and as you all know markets go up and markets go down, i feel at the moment if you invested three to four years ago you will all have done very well , with low repayments but with property that has doubled if not more in value. i dont really know what i am worth, ( a profit is only a profit when it is in the bank, like my old dad use to say ) the markets move every few weeks, but i have always done well out of property .

i used to be a trader, an area in which you see extraordinary wealth. not only amongst colleagues but also private clients, the guys who play the markets.

sure they lose fabulous amounts of money in a flash, but they always ended up on top. maybe thats because i had a hand in it?!

working with guys taking home bonuses in excess of £20m is not only motivating, but also presents unrealistic (for most) targets, which are seemingly attainable.

Daddy, this sounds up your street, it would certainly help you to achieve your 3-year-plan...

my advice: be happy with what you have got and use ambition in moderation, otherwise you will always want to be someone else.

hmmm, how deep!

too true mark, though £20m sounds kind of nice. was that in just one year or over many?

in any case what do you do with all that cash. sure the daddy has some ideas.
