I'm going to advertise my first BTL in the next month or so, this will be unfurnised. As a Landlord what do I need to supply for the tenents..

Carpets, Kitchen.

How's about curtains, fridge freezer etc.. Any landloards out there that can recommend what I should put in a unfurnished flat would be appreciated. THanks, Shaun.

hi Shaun, yes carpets is a must and personally i do put curtains up as well. however, i do insist that if they use there own curtains that they keep mine safe and put them back up when leaving. You don't need to supply anything else mate as you are renting it unfurnished. so the tenant will have there own white goods and furniture.

Shaun,

I agree with Alex. I also go down the unfurnished route, except curtains... and yes its in the contract that if they use their own they put mine back when they leave.... If your carpet is in new / excellent condition then take pics and have them as part of the contract in the inventory.... its so easy these days with a digi camera and computer....

Best wishes, Malik

Thanks for this, I think I'm going to provide curtains and then the tenants can do as they please if they would prefer their own.
