General (main property discussion here) - £5 Million pounds for me!

I have just been offered £5 million pounds by my mortgage company,to invest in my property portfolio.If I want more money,they will lend me what I want up to total of £15 million(subject to the yield on the portfolio) I have yet to read the small print,and calculate the repayments that would be required.Then I will have to do some proper research. This could get very interesting,as I have been looking at some light industrial units/small factory sites,oh God the brain is really ticking now.

It's called fowward funding, a mortgage company called Mortgage Trust will do this, They will pre-approve you upto 5m. So all you have to do is find the houses and have them valued and your in. It's a bit like having a mortgage offer before you have found the house.

Thanks for that explanation: it makes sense to me now. Can you please explain what the situation is with deposits, rental income / repayment per property and yield under this forward funding. Also as a broker, could you organise something like this for your clients?

Hi Alex I am assuming this is just the same as a credit line or hunters facilty etc? Would be very intrested in more details on these? Regards Damian
